I'm a danish heathen. This means that I believe in the pre-christian gods of the people of Scandinavia and northern Europe. I live in Jutland, the peninsula that makes up the largest part of Denmark. I consider myself somekind of folkist tribalist, but my views vary very much from what is the usual definition of folkism and tribalism as it is described by the good tru-folk of mainly the USA.
I believe the gods live only in the lands that are the original homeland of the germanic tribes -the Odel. But I also believe that we can make new lands our Odel, if we connect to the gods in the right way. I consider the blood-relation to a germanic people as the most significant factor in becoming a heathen. In other words; I don't think people with no ties to the germanic lands and people have much business worshipping our gods. It's physically impossible.
This does not, however, make me hostile towards people of different race, culture and ethnicity. I have much respect for those who practice their own folk religion, and I have much respect for muslims to!
I'm not political -in the sense that I do not believe in any ideology or stateform of modern times. I believe the only legitimate form of government for the germanic peoples is that of the pre-christian and pre-viking era. I'm concerned only with stuff evolving around the time of the saga kings of Denmark and before.
